Studio Safety & Conduct Guidelines

To ensure the safety, cleanliness, and positive learning environment of our studio, all students and families are expected to follow the guidelines below.

Dress Code & Personal Safety

Students must follow the studio dress code at all times.

For safety reasons, students who are not in proper dress code will not be permitted to participate in class.

Baggy clothing, sweatpants, jeans, pajamas, and hoodies are not permitted.

Hair must be neatly pulled back and secured.

No dancing in socks.
-
No dangling jewelry.

Chewing gum is not permitted during class.
Studio Care & Cleanliness

Help us keep our studios clean and well maintained.

Dance shoes should not be worn outside, as this can damage them.

Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floors.
-
No snacks or open drinks are allowed in the studios.

All drinks must have a lid; carbonated beverages are not permitted in dance rooms.
Punctuality & Attendance

Students are expected to arrive on time for class.

Students arriving several minutes late may not be permitted to participate if the instructor feels it would be unsafe to do so.

Regular attendance is important; students who miss class frequently may be transferred to a lower level.

If a student will be late or absent, please notify the studio in advance.
Lobby & Supervision

Parents assume full responsibility for the actions and behavior of all children under their supervision while in the lobby.

The lobby is an area where studio business is conducted; excessive noise cannot be tolerated.

All drinks must have a lid or cap.
-
Snacks must be finished in the lobby and should be non-messy.
Studio Access & Behavior

Only enrolled dancers are permitted in the studios unless approved by an instructor.

Children are not permitted in studios that are not in use.

Playing, hanging on ballet barres, or misusing studio equipment is not permitted.

Students should use the restroom prior to class to avoid missing instruction.
Discipline
Dance is a discipline, and students are expected to demonstrate age-appropriate behavior at all times. Disruptive behavior may result in the student being asked to observe class. Continued disruption may require the student to leave the class to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all dancers.
